Our Resources

We take pride in our products. We purchase only the finest ingredients to produce the best for you. We never test on animals and we take this into consideration when we source our ingredients. When we purchase our raw materials, we work hard on building relationships with fair trade, ethically sourced, and cruelty free companies. Therefore, we have a short list of approved vendors.

We use certain oils and butters for their various benefits. We have highlighted a few of our favorites to help inform and to explain why we use them. This is not meant to be medical information, but easy to understand information.

Virgin Organic PRICKLY PEAR OIL : (Rated: 0-1)

Prickly Pear comes from the flower of the cactus and contains skin-softening vitamin E, and vitamin K to reduce dark circles. It combats the free radicals and helps to stimulate the cellular renewal process.  It has skin brightening and tightening components and is considered to be a fountain-of-youth elixir!  It has anti-inflammatory properties, is ideal for soothing irritated and sensitive skin.  It also is high in oleic and linoleic acid (which helps to stimulate skin and hair growth) when the two come together, skin becomes clearer and smoother, more illuminated! This is why we use it in our Illuminating Face Serum and our Face & Beard Oil!

Virgin Organic POMEGRANATE SEED OIL: (Rated: 0-1)

Pomegranate seed oil is a fantastic anti-aging oil high in Vitamin C and anti-oxidants which contribute to fresher, younger looking skin. It also contains punic acid which is shown to regenerate skin layers, and improve skin tone and elasticity while reducing inflammation. It is also known to be anti-microbial, anti-carcinogenic and anti-inflammatory. This oil, packs a fabulous punch! Check it out in our Rejuvenating Face Serum!

ROSEHIP OIL: We love Rosehip Oil! It’s full of vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids* that are known to correct dark spots and hydrate dry, itchy skin, all while reducing scars and fine lines. Having a slight astringency, Rosehip oil is considered a "dry" oil, soaking into the skin easily, leaving no greasy residue. We love this oil for our face and neck area! We use this in our Balancing Face Wash, our Anti-Aging Face Oil, and various products.

ARGAN OIL: More commonly known as “Moroccan Oil”, nourishing and healing as it is rich in vitamins A and E (tocopherol). It is packed with antioxidants, Omega-6 (linoleic acid), helps to boost cell growth while promoting healthy hair and skin! Try this in all our Face Serums, Face & Beard Oils, and Nail/Cuticle Oil which can also be used to help smooth any fly away hairs!

SEA BUCKTHORN BERRY OIL: Due to its free radical scavenging and tissue regeneration properties, we use this in our Anti-Aging Face Serum to help combat wrinkles, and soothe dry, irritated skin. Studies have shown that the oil's use on the skin can improve antioxidant levels and reduce the levels of reactive oxygen species.  Clinical studies have further shown that the oil can actually improve skin metabolism and retard skin maturation, thereby slowing down the aging process!

ROSE WATER: We make our Rose Water from organic, pesticide free roses from a local florist. Our Rose Water is not only a refreshing mist for your face, hair, and body, it is an anti-inflammatory! It soothes your skin and has a rich source of antioxidants, which can help strengthen skin cells and regenerate skin tissue. It’s also a great choice for sensitive skin. It’s a light moisturizer (humectant) and we use it in a few of our products such as our Rose Facial Mist and Clarifying Toner and custom facial products!

COCONUT OIL: It's a natural antibacterial oil, an excellent moisturizer for the skin, it can penetrate the hair better than other oils, and, well, it smells like cookies!  We use only organic, unrefined, ethically sourced coconut oil to get the best of the plant. The MCTs (including lauric acid, capric acid and caprylic acid) have antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties that make it beneficial for immune support. We love to use this multipurpose oil in our body scrubs, body butters, and more!

SHEA BUTTER: This butter in its unrefined form is a natural antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and has also UV protection (we still recommend a mineral sunscreen)! It has a creamy consistency with a nutty smell. It helps strengthens and heal the skin. Do you have dry skin? Problem areas on elbows, dry feet, ashy skin? Vitamins A, E and F maintain the skin and keep it clear and healthy. The Vitamin A in Shea Butter is important for improving skin conditions, including blemishes, wrinkles, eczema, and dermatitis!

Have you ever suffered from a rash, sunburn, excessive dry skin, dry peeling lips, or insect bites? Shea Butter’s properties can help, which is why we use it in our Whipped Body Butters and other products which are fantastic and a little goes a long way!

COCOA BUTTER:  It’s naturally rich in antioxidants to help keep skin soft and supple. This helps your skin to retain moisture by providing a breathable barrier to protect sensitive skin against environmental stress and free radicals. It smells just like chocolate! We love to use it in our body butters, lotions, and our scrubs!

* Fatty acids Omega 3, 6, and 9 (linolenic, linoleic, and oleic acids) helps to fight aging of the skin.

**Vitamin A is known to reduce acne flare-ups.
